Or Die Trying executive producers Sarah Hawkins and Myah Hollis caught up with actor Brandon Thomas to talk about his experience playing Corey Thomas in ODT Season 1.
ODT: Where are you from?
Brandon Thomas: Hey, I'm Brandon Thomas From Rancho Cucamonga.
ODT: What character do you play in Or Die Trying?
BT: I play the role of Corey.
ODT: What made you want to pursue acting?
BT: Since I was a child I've loved to entertain people. As I grew up, I narrowed that form of entertainment into acting.
ODT: What first drew you to this series?
BT: When I heard of it and the large number of women involved it grabbed my attention. I loved the idea of the series. Hearing about the stories of the women involved just trying to make it reminded me of myself.
ODT: Without giving too much away, what do you relate to most with your character?
BT: Me and my character share the same role in the family of BIG BROTHER! Most cases pretty chill unless boundaries are crossed.
ODT: What was it like to work on a set with a predominately female crew?
BT: It was great. Organization was at an all time high. Felt warm and productive.
ODT: What do you think is the best way for the industry to go about closing the gender gap?
BT: Proof projects like ODT. Proving to folks out there we are all artist and all deserve our fair shake!
ODT: What other projects are you working on?
BT: I currently have a film out that can be found on YouTube called All Part Of The Game. We are working on the second installment now and can't wait to get it done!
